FLASH FICTION MARKETS

PICAYNE LITERARY MAGAZINE
Accepts fiction (short or flash), poetry, black and white photography, and original black-line art. The annual submission period is September 15 to December 15. Pays one contributor copy.
 
THIRD WEDNESDAY
Accepts fiction up to 1,500 words. Pays $3-$5 per story or poem plus contributor's copy.

TIMELESS TALES MAGAZINE
Seek flash fiction fairy tales (usually no longer than 1500 words). Current theme is Puss in Boots. Deadline November 1, 2013. Pays $15 per story accepted plus one year subscription. 
 
STORY HOUSTON
Accepts stories as short as 1000 words (and stories with a maxmimum of 5000 words). Pays $200 per published story.
 
UNSETTLING WONDER
accepts flash fiction up to 1000 words, short stories from 1000 - 3000 words and poems based on their themes. They welcome original writing that endows fairy and folk tales with new meanings, directions, and experimentation. Pays $.01 per word. Submissions for the third issue are open until September 21, 2013.
 
MIXER PUBLISHING   
Accepts flash and longer pieces in a wide range of categories. Pays $25-$100 for print publication. (Online publication no longer receives pay but the story is promoted and publicized.)
 
LAMPLIGHT MAGAZINE
Quarterly for literary dark fiction. (They also accept reprints.) Pay $50 for flash fiction (1000 words or fewer) and pay more for longer fiction.
 
MAD SCIENTIST JOURNAL
Pays $10 for flash fiction (more for longer work). (Payments are advances on royalties for any income made from your story.) Also accepts reprints.
